Welsh quilt collector Jen Jones, has just fulfilled a longtime dream by opening a gallery of Welsh quilts. Jen has been an avid collector and dealer of Welsh pieces since the 1970s and the gallery showcases the best of her collection. When I was with Jen in 2007, she was already working on her plans, and stated that this was going to be a dream come true for her as she has a passion for sharing not only the culture of the Welsh quilters, but the spirit of the quilts, the meaning of the motifs - all the details that make Welsh quilts special.
The Gallery is in the old town hall in Lampeter, Wales which has taken some time to restore in addition to creating the lovely gallery spaces.

The Gallery and Jen's antique quilt shop are both amazing historical buildings, that have been lovingly created into beautiful places to see quilts. Both are included on my tour to the UK next June, for information see http://worldofquiltstravel.com/EnglandJune.htm
